Mara Ellin

Mara Ellin is a fictional independent photographer created for this demonstration. Bristol is an illustrative home base, and the journal imagines work for art directors, architects, independent hotels and design publications.

The approach is quiet and practical: understand what a picture needs to explain, look carefully at the available light, and edit the sequence until every frame has a reason to remain.

All photographs on this site belong to their credited source photographers. The project names and editorial narratives are illustrative studies, not Mara’s commissions.

Thinking about a commission?

Start with the intended use, the city, a date window and the deliverables you have in mind. Include access constraints and the formats that matter. Usage, schedule and production would need a separate agreement in a real commission.
